CHAPTER 1111
EXECUTIVE
BOARD MEETING MINUTES
Attending: Charlie Rosenzweig, Gary Trenner, Al Drewry, Dwight Irby, Bob Taylor, Jerry Sorrell
Annual Dinner: Charlie updated us that Dwight will handle the finance and meal arrangements at the Rutherglen mansion. Charlie has purchased about $60 worth of door or raffle prizes. Jerry will donate a slide out tray of small fastener hardware (nuts bolts washers, etc.) Bob Taylor may have some bottles of wine to donate.
Action item: Dwight will decide what to raffle or give away as door prizes. We may do a raffle to continue to build up the building fund reserves.
Action Item: Dwight will confirm Guy Live and Mary will do music and magic. We as an exec board approved $250 and two dinners for Guy Live and Mary
Guest speaker: We discussed that we
may have surprise speakers from among our group in lieu of an
outside speaker. Jerry had tentatively lined up a speaker on the
Spruce Goose and how it came to be at the
Action item: We decided to go with our own speakers. Jerry will cancel the tentative speaker.
Newsletter: Our newsletter needs to have the events link updated for the annual meeting. Also put the date time and place of our monthly meetings on the main page
Action item: Bob Taylor will take care of the update.
Exec Board Annual Elections: Charlie suggested we not hold elections until December; so the annual meeting in November is not part of business, but purely a social event. We also need a posting of 30 days unit elections. This will be presented to the chapter later tonight. Mark Edwards and Lee Dines worked on the slate of officers.
Action item: Mark is away and Lee will present this slate of nominees tonight.
Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for hangars: Charlie had handed examples out at the last meeting and asked us to review. Jerry noted that parts of planes or equipment stored by various members should not have to have the suggested $500,000 minimum liability. Action item:
Action Item: We agreed that the language on the MOU could be changed so as to allow the Exec Board to make exceptions to insurance as applicable.
Building Permit and Credit on Lease Payments: Charlie reviewed that last June, the Council approved our building permit that would credit us with about $14,600 in upgrades which the City would apply to our monthly lease. We have not seen the City minutes, nor do we have anything from the city that confirms the Council action.
Action item: Jerry to get a copy of the city minutes to see how the approval reads.
Award Plaque: Dwight Irby recommended that Charlie be given an award plaque in recognition of his two years as President.
Action item: The board agreed and Dwight will provide. To be presented at the dinner I assume.
End of Executive Board minutes
