EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETING JUNE 3 2010
Attending: Dwight Irby, Al Drewry, Gary Trenner, Mark Edwards, Jerry Sorrell, Mark Pearson
Bill Heath is home caring for his wife who has broken her wrist and Eric Hoppe has child care duty.
Jerry reported that Denny Wise may stop by later to discuss the need to support the airport, in light of the City’s recent discussion of selling the airport as an option fro crating more industrial land area.
Our executive board went on unanimous record to ask the city and supporting agencies (Port of Longview, City of Longview and Cowlitz County) to mutually agree to property govern and finance the airport in keeping with our regional airport capabilities.
Mark Edwards plan on more meetings with Eagle Scouts and to include “Young Eagles Flights” as part of their merit badges. Probably after Arlington July 7-11. Mark said the Kelso Civil Air patrol (CAP) group may also have some eligible too.
Dwight said we should again have hats shirts jackets with the chapter logo, for sale. Mark Pearson agreed t take this on.
Next meeting is July 1, and we will have “open hangar” bring out the planes, cars, motorcycles, whatever and we will have a pot luck informal meeting. Some of us may give rides. E Board will meet at about 5 PM.
August 5th . Bring in some “sub” sandwiches at 6:30 and car pool @ 7 Pm to Toledo for a show tell of Eric Hoppe’s Express project. It’s OK to fly there too…

Regular Meeting:
The Menu; Big Al Burgers, beans, chips, macaroni salad, potato salad, pickles, ice cream. Thanks to Bugermeister Al Drewry and Patty Irby for a great meal.
Drawing and Raffle: We had both the “pot” drawing and two raffle drawings tonight. Bianca Elmer drew the chip but is an not the winning red one. However, she got the first raffle ticket prize which was a battery float charger. Mark Pearson got the padlocks and brake cleaner aerosol. Dick Woods has offered to donate his aircraft tie down kit for the next meeting. Thank you Dick!
Dwight Irby proposed that we still try for the motorcycle drive to McMinnville. Yes, it is OK to fly there too.
Fly outs: Arlington is July 7-11. The Mulino blueberry pancake breakfast is July 17-18. Jim McClellan said he and Mary Ann will be flying to Johnson Creek to attend the harmonic festival in Yellow Pine ID. Next meeting, July 1. Bring POT LUCK goodies for the hangar open house and fly in. Those of on the field will taxi in.
